cat eyes fish

(no subject)

So, earlier today (technically yesterday, if you want to go by the clock and midnight changing the date and everything), I went to a koi place in Galt that I've never been to before.
I've been having problems with an animal coming in and tearing up my pond plants and eating the fish out of the smaller pond. A couple of nights ago, every single plant except for one was shredded and strewn all over the place. The last of the goldfish in that pond is now gone, as are most of the bigger mosquito fish. Fortunately, mosquito fish reproduce like rabbits, so I'll have a ton of them again in no time.
I had gone to the koi place to see if they had any kind of fencing or netting that I could put around or over the pond. Yeah, they did, but I noticed that it was kind of thin and chinsey (is that how you spell that?). Whatever animal that was getting into my pond would have no problem just clawing at the netting and eventually having it shred.
I'm not going to get any more fish until I had some sort of protection for that small pond.
Finally, one of the guys mentioned a device called a scarecrow. When I asked what it was, assuming it wasn't the same thing as a farmer's scarecrow, I had a neat little surprise.
Someone has finally (finally to me, anyway, I don't know how long this thing has been on the market) put together a motion detector and a sprinkler head. You hook it up to the hose or to existing sprinkler pipe underground (it's got attachments).
When an animal comes in range of the motion detector, BAM!, it gets a face full of water. It looked pretty simple to set up, so I said as long as I can have the pond protected, I might as well get some new koi.
So I did!
I got ten baby koi, all of about two inches in length, max., and four 6 to 7 inch koi. Two of those are blue. I don't remember seeing blue so bright on koi before.
I'll try to get pictures as soon as the water clears up a bit.

Put an X by the movies you've seen.
If you get more than 70, you're a movie whore.

I counted 122. I also noticed that I have a ton of movies in my DVD collection that weren't listed here, but it didn't say anything about adding anything. Do you think I should?
