my lips

(no subject)

As one American,
I'd just like to make mention of my appreciation that many foreign nations, including Russia, Europe, and even many of the Arab nations are showing support for us by having either a moment of silence or a day of mourning in their nations specifically toward our tradgedy.
If there was a way that my message could be relayed to the leaders of these other nations, I would want them to know that this gratitude comes not just from me, but just about every American.
True, we have an arrogance about us. But at this time, I think we can all agree that we are not so selfish that we won't accept your support.
I am one person. And each and every other person out there is one person. But together, we are a people.
We must get over our prejudices, and we must learn to live with one another, no matter how different our cultures may be. Others' cultures must be embraced. We don't necessarily have to agree with another's culture, but we should at least understand it so we may understand that other person's actions.
Closed-mindedness is the cause for this catastophe. We can't allow closed-mindedness to rule us. Remember, there is no such thing as right or wrong (in this regard), just different. And different can actually be a good thing.
To the Europeans, Australians, Russians, Chinese, and even those Arabs who can't condone such actions, I want to thank you for your support.
