I think that the couple of months of good weather that is left after Burning Man is over I will really think about getting my pilot's license.
Of course, which should I do? I really want to get a license for flying a helicopter, but that would be about twice as much as an airplane license.
It's also cheaper to rent the airplane, or even buy one, and maybe I could get my mom to go up with me to try to help her with her fear of flying in a plane.
But I really want to learn to fly a helicopter...
Maybe I should do the airplane, and get some airtime in during the winter, and then start working on the helicopter next summer.
That might ruin my trip to Australia... I'll have to do some monetary calculations...
here I am talking about getting flying lessons and I'm still looking at boats on e-bay!
I'm a crazyweirdofreak!
Just checked with ups where my motor is... Sacramento... just 40 more miles to go!
Hasn't left Sacto yet, as far as I can tell, but it should tonight, I would think... I mean, some of the other cities it went through are smaller, yet were moving stuff around in the middle of the night.
Tomorrow I expect it to come to my door.
I need to run to the store to get a felt-tip pen so I can write a note to ups so they know my doorbell doesn't work and they have to knock real loud...
got the sign up for U.P.S.,
got the head and tail-lights installed on my bike.
I be tired...
gonna check ups tracking one last time, then must wash hands, maybe enjoy a little snack, and then head off to mattressland.
Where's my motor!!!!!?
It's 10:30, I've been up since 8, went to bed at 4... I could really use a few more hours of sleep before I head off to work.
One of my fingers is swollen. I was playing with my leatherman like nun chukas and one of the blades opened up and stabbed me right in the finger. I'll have to keep an eye on that, make sure it doesn't get infected. It's swollen, but not red, so I think I'll be okay.
I think UPS knows that I'm keeping track of my package. I'm sure they're sitting in their little office saying to each other, "Hey, look. That geek just looked up his tracking number again. Let's keep it here for another hour an see if he checks again."
I am getting soooooo impatient.... I feel like a big kid.... HURRY UP!!!!
(actually, I just want to go to sleep)
It just got here!!!!
I got my motor... I got my motor...
*bounces around happily*
I don't think I'm going to be able to get back to sleep now!
They call me "Velcro,"
because I like to stick.
